This "Long Wood stock" posted by W5USMC has all the appearances of the stock on John Edward Brownings' Winchester G30 prototype. John M. Browning's little bro. Google it up. Not the 1929 prototype but the 1938 revision prototype.

The seller must have figured it out as he changed the title. It is a dummy Enfield Mk 3

That $999.95 jewel of a Winchester stock that Dan posted looks like somebody's Win. Model 94 got together with a carbine in their safe and this was the result.

Might have been alerted by the M1 carbine police force since sellers rarely figure it out on their own. |

Maybe not funny considering someone just paid $380 for this nice looking "Original WWII Pal M1 Carbine Bayonet" but there are a couple things that just don't look right.

Maybe so. As Roger mentioned the tang peen is not the "sunburst" peen that would have been found on a PAL M4, although Case did use a peen similar to this one. PAL also used plastic spacers on each end of the leather grip. My guess is that someone put that nice new looking leather grip on this thing.

Maybe I could grind the rough edges off the pommel on my PAL, booger up the rivets and get $380 for it?
