Does anyone know where to purchase a breech bore inspection glass? I haven't seen them available for a long time and there doesn't seem to be any listed on the internet.

I've been wanting a digi bore scope for years, but until recently only a few offered them, and they were all over $100 or more. However, recently I've been thinking of buying this model here...….

If u find one, please do update us. |

I recently bought one of these from CMP. It's not one specifically listed in the Garand Collectors Assoc article. Not surprising if you've read the article the author keeps finding new variations. This version is made with two halves screwed together where the plastic ones in the article have a snap in back panel. The one I got from CMP looks like one that was sold on ebay and archived at "worthpoint" The ebay seller said they came in a package (box?) of ten (same quantity as the box Bill Ricca had) The box was marked with the following information: JO12-72-65789 Reflector Barrel cal. .30
(RIFLE M1) DWG NO C7265789 10 EACH DA-11-070-ORD-8595 COMMONWELTH
PLASTICS CORPS LEOMINSTER, MASS DATE PACKED OCT 53 It's likely there is a typo and the manufacturer should be Commonwealth Plastic Corp. As far as condition of the ones CMP has, the one I recieved shows some slight clouding and pitting of the mirror's silver. I'd call it usable, Fair to almost Good.
