do the reproduction zippers on these have any kind of name or marking that can't be seen in the photos? I have an original one that has a talon zipper that has a wire coiled around it with a piece of material to grab on to to work the zipper and if I'm not mistaken, the zipper might even have USA on it as well. My example also does not have the dots after U and S just like the one in this thread and no manufacturer marking on the inside either. The only reason I think mine is genuine is because of the zipper and the thickness of the leather pull tabs and the smell. Was just curious how close these reproductions are trying to be

Leather sure doesn't appear to be aged enough to be period correct.
I only have the Type I and Type II (Modified with rigger attached extra length) Griswold cases. All that I own have the heavy brass Talon zipper pull tab. The actual zippers look heavier duty. I see many repro's that are made with a zipper pull tab with the letters SBS on them. But I don't know if SBS was also a WWII Supplier. FWIW, CH-P777

A couple of photos of zippers in these two. You can pick up on some other details that also may help.
