Mail call brought a pretty neat piece today. I’m sure we are all well familiar with the M15 Grenade launcher sights that are all over eBay and gun shows for $20 or less. This guy is special though. While similar, this sight is marked T59E3 instead of M15. The instructions are marked similarly and the carrying pouch is a bit different in size and lacks the usual belt hook on the back. Kind of cool I think and I haven’t run across one of these before.

Had no idea there was another designation for the grenade launcher sight. Imagine that the BPS is for Boehm Pressed Steel.

CCNL 255 on the T15 CCNL 317 on the T59 (E2, E3) and the case absent the hooks like yours. Suggest adding that pic to this thread so it doesn't disappear. WB3 pg 1336 There has been one on GB for a while. It does not have the correct case Remember these were for the M1903a1 and the M1 rifle as well |

That gunbroker auction is what initially alerted me to their existence. Surprisingly an eBay search turned up this one almost immediately with incorrect description as a standard M15. $20 well spent.

Ahh, just read CCNL 317, nice find with the original "eyeglass" case.

just so it’s not missed, the first post has a link to the Imgur photo album with more pictures of the set.
Also I found it interesting that the screws to secure the mounting plate to the stock are both “X X” marked like Winchester recoil plate screws.

Unfortunately, those Imgur pictures will be gone someday, can you post a picture of the ++ marked screw heads, that is pretty interesting.
