Anybody have any idea as to where this piston nut came from? I know it's not USGI and I'm not very knowledgeable regarding commercial carbines. |

National Ordnance offered a double sided piston nut wrench. One side was for USGI nuts, the other to fit your nut. Unclear if they used a 2 notch nut, but I would suspect that Fed ord as well as Alpine might have been using them. Let's see what Jim says. Now I got to look at my Howa
