I am wondering if anybody in our Club have ever seen, held or even perhaps possess an M1 Carbine Breech Cover.
It is described in Ruth's "War Baby" Vol. 2 and I found this photo on the Internet, showing the Breech Cover. It appears to be a Post WWII War/Korea accessory. I wonder why these Breech Covers never shows up for sale or trade or just discussion. Any additional photos and information would be most welcome. Anders

That is interesting. I am new to our Carbine Club Forum. Who is Paul Imbragulio? Is he a member of our Forum.
I have seen a couple of the British Enfield Breech Covers. Original from 1942 and they look much like the subject Breech Cover. Still I wonder why we never see the M1 Carbine Breech Covers in circulation. At least one contract would have meant hundreds of them. Let me kmow about Paul Imbragulio and how to contact him...

I'll have to ask a friend of mine (who served as a Marine in Korea) if he'd ever seen one of these in the field.

Thank you Pro Libertate, for sharing your reply.
Your USMC friend has some interesting viewpoints. It might not have been a popular accessory item, but it seems to be a kind of "offspring" to the corresponding Breech Covers from WW II, e.g. the German Karabiner 98K and the British Enfield among others. I have been informed that PBICarbine in our Forum possess one of these. I have sent him a PM two times. It seems to be in vain as I have received no response from him so far. I hope he will reply to me.
