I brought home an interesting souvenir from my trip to Cuba last February...a 1908 SA 16" bayonet in a WWII USN scabbard from an antique/junk shop in Havana.
I am torn between removing the rust and trying to preserve the wood or leaving as-is. Opinions and suggestions on the best way to clean it would be greatly appreciated. |

If it were mine, I'd use bronze wool to remove the surface rust, then oil it up, or Renaissance wax it, and leave it alone at that point.
Just my $.02... David Albert dalbert@sturmgewehr.com |
