Charlie, What every carbine collector has lamented over the years, that a known (and admitted in this case) reproduction would be believed to be USGI. @ Floydthecat, no need for x-ray vision to see that has been messed with

Larry J. Hartley aka: LaRue J Hartley 318 Upper Market St, #2 Milton, PA 17847 Street of Shops Antique Mall 100 N. Water St. Lewisburg, PA 17837 His area within the antique mall is or was Roller Mills East Jewelry Coin. There is another antique mall in Lewisburg west of the above location. I assume the Street of Shops was once Roller Mills East. Roller Mills Marketplace 517 St Mary St. Lewisburg, PA 17837 Edited by sleeplessnashadow - May 07 2022 at 3:29pm |

It's a fake Winchester barrel because I don't think they ever used swaged gas cylinders to my knowledge, but I can't figure out who made it. My guess would be inland made to look like a winchester maybe?

Yeah once in the 1940's by the Department of Sea Turtles and again in the 1960's or maybe 70's by the DOD as an acceptable Jeep part.
