Were they rebuilt? Yup! I have a M3 blade on a M4 Bayo.
The rubber grip and wood grip bayos are rebuilt USGI. The question is who rebuilt them. Most likely not by US contract. There are not rivets. They are taper pins. Early M4s had a hole opposite to drive the in out for repairing a latch. Some non USGI M4s used roll pins. The LOL above certainly is a winner!

Don't think this one has been modified, very rare "Ontario M4A1". Maybe the seller meant to say it is an M4 plus 3? Good luck attaching it to a carbine.
"WW ll era USA M4A1 Bayonet by Ontario in excellent condition" "WW ll era USA M4A1 Bayonet by Ontario in excellent condition. This thing is an original that was uncirculated. Excellent condition. Impeccable really" |

I guess those "IS" oilers are not what we thought they were.

Precisely identical to what I've got. Closer inspection of mine denies a circled "IS"; the afforesaid 'circle' is more like a rim on the bottom of the cylinder from when the cylinder was formed. Black colored cap w/ no identifying marks other than scratches from normal use. I Googled "IS oiler military rifle" and amongst other stuff I found a non-chromed M1 carbine size oiler stamped "BK". Also found similar size oiler for the WWI British Enfield which is brass w/ no identifying stamp

The Brits figured a way to fit a more suitable amount of oil in a smaller package?

A submission by Tim "I think you spelled RSG wrong" Tim, I think Robert Michael Chutney transferred that stock to his Saginaw. Previously he was making rare nosed stocks.

Uber rare Rock-ola sear here. It's a heck of a lot easier stamping it on top than on the side! :)

Scroll to the very top of the page. Ya think the G.I. aiming the M1A1 might take out more enemy if he'd stuff a loaded magazine into the mag. port?

Some of you old timers that belonged to the Michigan group may remember there was another manufacturer of parts or carbines that was not documented. Well here is proof! Interestingly there is a current auction who has the same rear sight! But claims it is something else. The 18" bbl.
is stamped “I.B.M. CORP.” and is fitted with standard front sight
marked “POB”. Parkerized action with caliber marking on receiver ring
has blued bolt. Rear portion is fitted with windage and elevation adj.
rear sight and is marked “I.B.M. CORP.”
