There was the M1919 air cooled MG.  Also the M1941 Johnson rifle and LMG, although those may not have been "officially" adopted.

The 1941 Johnson rifle was procured by the USMC but not adopted by the U.S. Ordnance Department. The air cooled 1919A4 and 1919A6 machine guns are just variations of the water cooled 1917 machine gun. The .30 cal. Model 1906 cartridge is, except for powder loading, the same as the .30 cal. M1 and M2 cartridges, all commercially known as the 30-06 cartridge. My statement, unless there's disagreement is, the only two weapons that were originally designed for the .30 cal. Model 1906, M1 and M2 cartridge and adopted by the U.S. Ordnance Department were the Model 1917, and it's variants, machine gun and the Model 1918 Browning Automatic Rifle. There is no other weapon adopted that was originally designed for the series of .30 cal. rifle cartridges. Other .30 cal. rifle cartridge weapons that were adopted were originally designed for other cartridges.

I’ll take a stab at it here.

The pump and the semi-auto?

Unrelated to the trivia question.

You have correctly identified the riot shotgun as one type of combat shotgun. Trench shotgun is incorrect. The second type of combat shotgun still needs to be identified.

There were several models of shotguns taken in by the Army even before the war.  Remington model 11's for instance were taken in with the designs on the receivers and ordnance stamped and put into use.  Many different guns were used to train aircraft gunners.  Browning A5's, Winchester 1897 and model 12, there Stevens, Ithaca pump guns were all combat guns.  Could you be a little more specific in the question?

The trivia question is related to two types of battle shotguns that were used by the military. One, riot shotgun, has been identified. The second has yet to be identified. The trivia question is unrelated to manufacturers or being a pump or semi-automatic. A clue is if one type is a riot shotgun, the second type is similar but different. Trench shotgun is an incorrect answer.

Rereading your question to include modern, ruling out trench gun as a possibility, then I'm going with modular or tactical referencing the more modern versions of combat shotguns.  Just a guess though.

Trench gun is an incorrect designation used by collectors to identify the second type of combat shotgun. It is not the correct military designation.

Trench gun would be correct if it was the military designation, but it is not so it is incorrect.

Riot gun with plain barrel, Trench Gun with heat shield and bayonet lug on barrel. Semi auto and pump. Some pumps with or without a trigger disconnector. Without the disconnector it could be slam fired. How about Tactical instead of the word "Trench".
