    Posted: Jan 12 2016 at 10:27pm
A few years ago I decided I wanted an IP carbine and started to gather parts, I have since forgotten about it as I never found a barrel/receiver I could afford. WHile cleaning out work area I found 3 IP stocks. They are as follows:

Stock 1: high wood, marked IP& cross cannons on right side, I cut, has IR-IP in sling well and circle P on bottom of pistol grip. the bad is that someone carved an H on the left side of butt stock and a small slot on next to bottom of pistol grip. I have matching bisket for the slot but no clue what to do with the H. Also have matching hand guard marked RSG.

Stock 2:High wood marked S'G' with cross cannons, oval cut with IR-IP, ordance bomband a B in sling well. RSG handguard

Stock 3: Low wood, no marks I can see on side, IR-IP in sling well, RSG handguard.
None have any cracks or repairs I can see other than whats on stock #1.

Have 2 type II recoil plates marked IP-PW and one marked S'G" and IP marked butt plates.

I am trying to find my records to see what I paid for them. Any clues as to what they are worth? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

It seems like Irwin-Pedersen stocks that have proper cartouche and slingwell markings that are in fair condition go for around $800 to $1200 dollars on e-bay.  I don't know how the damage would affect price.

I have read that S'G' stocks go for around $700 and up.

I've been keeping an eye out for a while for a good S'G' stock.

I'm not sure what a low wood stock would bring.

If you don't have some good experience repairing milsurp stocks, don't do any repairs. Stocks like those deserve a professional repair/restoration.

I'd be interested in them if you're going to release them for sale.

Nice group of stuff, you should be able to research ebay and find some close comparisons. My feeling is they are worth highest to lowest in the order you represented them. Like Ten said I would not fool with them in hopes of generating higher value.

Best of luck
