Good eye, but SN is not always SN

Other than early parts, the parts were marked Sub-Prime except for Sta Pro
The milled front sight was Sta Pro Subcontracted by Niedner. Due to Saginaw already using the "S" we see for the most part marked S first rather than last.

The stamped and brazed was Super Metal MFG for NPM, also marked SN
The double stamp may be the norm as they would not have to orientate the sight block to be machined for the blade. See CCNL 383-11

On page one of this thread we have this. It appears that the component was stamped before forming and brazing.

So the bigger question is if anyone has a SN brazed sight that is not double stamped.

Yes, I do.

On second thought maybe I don't, the marking is very hard to see with the plain eye, but in this picture, it looks like there might very well be the remnants of the second SN.

Yes there is definitely a remnant of the N on the left side of the blade

Crazy, but this may be the same barrel or the roll die error was repetitive in the overlay?

I thought they looked identical, do we know the full serial number on Scott’s and Justin’s (dirtythirty)?
