This advertisement from August 1980 is for a legal crank device that when installed allows firing of up to 1200 rounds per minute depending on how fast the crank is turned. One complete turn of the crank fires four rounds. Although the crank will fit many semi-automatic firearms, it is pictured mounted onto an M1 carbine.

Fun stuff when Winchester 30 Carbine ammo was 10 cents a round.

These are pictures of the BMF ACTIVATOR box, instructions, envelope containing synthetic screws and two activator bars, a special notice and copy of the ATF letter exempting the BMF ACTUATOR from federal regulation.

That is outstanding Louis! Thank you for sharing this! I bet those are few and far between and worth a pretty penny if you have all the paperwork and box like you pictured. I love seeing things that were designed or developed for the carbine, Even if it is commercial.

what is it worth without paperwork? I am sure it is somewhere in Larry's many file cabinets, question is the time involved.

Are the ones being sold on that link from 1980? I noticed the nylon screws are black on those and white on the example in this thread. Are they still making them today? I figured this gadget was long discontinued and rare, but maybe not. Either way I have to have one to keep sealed new in the box haha

The original came with brass and nylon screws. The nylon screws for those not wanting to mar the trigger guard.
