French Commando Marine FUMACO Carbine Bayonet

I do not know whether you are aware of an oddity, the French Commando Marine Carbine bayonet:
In the 1950 a specific bayonet was made based on a fighting knife, the Dague FOM (Force Outre Mer), which was regulation in some Paras units and the French Commando Marine.
A specific bayonet lug was created to be fixed on the barrel.

Two different lugs above. Two different mounts below.

Here is links to French Website where this is shown by more knowledgeable people than me:" rel="nofollow -" rel="nofollow -" rel="nofollow -

Note that the Commando Marine are also referred to as FUMACO (Fusiliers Marins Commando).

I once saw one of this bayonet for sell in a surplus shop but did not bought it as it was expensive and not in my collection theme.

This is really interesting. I've never come across this variant before. Learn something new everyday
about the little carbines.

Thank you for sharing.
