On gunbroker over the last year I’ve seen a couple M3 flash hiders made by Springfield that are double marked “SA”. See below. Sorry the picture isn’t great quality, but that’s what the seller had in his auction… You’ve got the usual SA following the nomenclature and then there is a secondary SA stamped above the nomenclature. I imagine there’s no telling the reason, but has anyone else seen these markings?

Notice in your picture the markings are not typical SA markings. The SA flash hiders are normally marked HIDER-FLASH-M3-SA

I will check my Flash hiders tomorrow. I have 2 SA and 2 •U•

Correction, I have 3 •U• and 1 SA. My SA is marked:
HIDER FLASH M3 SA

My 3 •U• are marked:
HIDER,FLASH,M3•U•

@Dirty30Carbine, No dashes (hyphens) between your words on the SA flash hider? Interesting, maybe SA had two different markings for their M3 Flash hiders. Mine is pictured below with the dashes and is marked as described in CCNLs 300 and 327 as well as in Bill Ricca's flash hider page.

I just double checked it. I see no signs of dashes (-) between the words
