Should have a rear bevel
Never saw a tooling notch on the front have that looked like that. Not sure if it was done with a cutting torch or a rough file, not even close to right. Believe the tooling hole in the back should have a bevel on the outside of the hole. |

Liberium, I think that you should closely compare the flash hider that you have to the one I pictured above. The one above is a replica FH that has been stamped with a .U. to make it appear that it was manufactured by Underwood. What markings are on your flash hider? For more information on legitimate USGI flash hiders see link below.

Hickok45 uses a slip on recoil pad. He's a big guy, I think 6'9".
 Otherwise the rest of the stock looks okay...sorta. |

The true wholy-grail (sic) "M1 Paratrooper Carbine made by Winchester chambered in .30 Carbine. This

good condition with multiable cartouschs,"    And evidently these unicorns went exclusively to the Marines.  further proof would be a selector cutout, presumably because the Marines were getting them and the Army just regular M1a1s.  note the "M" on the bolt. Marines? |
