Bought this trigger group awhile back, not sure of Mfg, think maybe a Iver Johnson, only markings/stamps are the one in pic, made by an elec pen or a very small punch. Appears to be an 'IJ', No other markings I can see on any of the other parts. Appears to be unused or at least very little. Casting is steel/iron, casting mold lines were not smoothed or ground down. Have searched the net but have not found any info on this piece.  Help please.

Your Trigger Housing and it's parts are consistent with what was used by Iver Johnson/AMAC in Jacksonville, AR 1987-1990. Iver Johnson didn't mark their trigger housings so the letters were probably added afterwards.

The company was going through a change of owners, management and financial problems during this period. When they regrouped in early to mid 1987 they produced several thousand carbines using the name AMAC. They switched back to Iver Johnson and stayed with it through end of production in 1990.

I haven't seen the rough casting on Iver Johnson trigger housings 1986 and earlier. Erma's Firearms used rough cast trigger housings off and on throughout production but their features were different. Erma's used surplus GI safeties and mag catches.

Also note it appears to be an M2 style trigger housing.

Yes, Mag catch is for the 30 rounder, but believe that's all.
