Just like Sex Ed in schools, I think proper training on use of firearms, their history, what they can do, etc would help reduce crime.
But I feel that the same reasons that people object to Sex Ed would be why they feel firearms safety / training would be bad. To keep on track, here are a few more civilians with M1 Carbines ![]()

Does anybody know what type of sling these Israelies are using? It appears to be a wide strap like that of a LMG. eg M60, M240 or M249
It also appears to be attached using para-cord or 550 cord.

Notice that mags are not inserted into weapons, that is one rule they have and only done so when the need arises. Interesting also that they are using 15 round mags and not 30.

I believe the reason they use 15 rnd mags is they conveniently fit into mag pouches on the stocks! The 30 rnd mag won't fit, w/o falling out and there was never a pouch made to put on the stock.

I'll bet these kids are much safer than our kids in a "no gun zone"

No, but there are plenty of 15 round pouches that will fit on a stock, and are darn handy. JMHO Looks like the Israelis figured that out too.

It's a case of one set of rules for them and another set for the rest of the world as it's the same group pushing to infringe on our God given rights here and everywhere else. But of course there's this as well. Here's a whole slew of children in harm's way who are not safer for having arms. https://www.startpage.com/sp/search ![]() |

Sling appears to be an IDF heavy weapons sling. Para-cord "type" tied to the forward sling swivel or in this pic, around the entire fwd stock/hand guard area. rear tied also with "para" through sling oiler slot. A very versatile sling, 2" in width.

In Regard to the image above with the kids with AK 47's, an image that appears to be a world wide normality...
I'll leave a lot of detail out... Got rushed into Kabul Afghanistan via Bagram airfield 50 miles away right after 9-11 with a special group of anti-terrorism Infantry Marines. Lots of surprises... one of them were Afghan kids all around Bagram with slung AK's that were so small, the butt stock was dragging the ground when they moved around. |

Later, the roles of the Mshaza were expanded and its volunteers perform security, public order, patrol, traffic and even crime-fighting tasks. Later, the Mshaza became the Community and Civil Guard Division at the National Headquarters and in 2011 it was merged with the Operations Division. Today, tens of thousands of volunteers work in these roles." ![]() |

Thank you very interesting! It's very interesting how the slings are attached with a tie through and no oilers on any of them. I hate the reason they have to carry them but it is very neat to see the carbine still being fielded.
